When I Was A Nave Teenager, I Found A Book Which Wrecked My Life

Joe Karbo wrecked my life. You may think that a startling introduction to one of my pieces which are generally buoyant and cheery (I hope) and regular readers could say “hold on, don’t you mean tricksters, fraudsters and robbers Jim Akin (of Swainston Hall, The Wynd, TS22 5QE in case of uncertainty in case of namesake Jim Akin’s) and his vile brother John Akin, both of Kalmindon Ltd?” And I don’t actually, the blemish that couple left on my life was a sour irritation. No, if I hadn’t come across Joe Karbo as a nave youngster of about 18, I probably would not have crossed the radar of the Brothers Grim and I’d still have the three grand they conned out of me. Mind you, then I probably would never have discovered and learned search engine optimisation which I adore, but hey ho.

No, Joe Karbo scrawled a book entitled The Lazy Man’s Guide To Riches and I read it and it gave me hope. The swine! It was ostensively a book about how to set up, operate and maintain a mail order firm, but before you got to that, Joe explaineda mind method he called Dyna/Psyc which was a way of training the mind to uncover solutions to issues in a comparable way to transcendental meditation, and was basically the 1st self-help book I found. Much of the book is superfluous now in its original form, but the modern mail order version of it is to be discovered in affiliate marketing, which has an extremely close symbiosis with SEO and lo and behold, when I came across the book the other day, I realised I’m still trying after all this time.

The issue I have looking back with old Joe, is that he put the notion in my mind that I could be considerably better off working for myself and operating a firm instead of following the standard career route. This has made me to try some things, most of which never got off the ground, but included ideas like tailored greetings cards, Mongolian bbq restaurant, online takeaway restaurant ordering and my current project, an affiliate marketing fishing shop.

I also probably wouldn’t have got involved in the Amway plan through which I came across a steady supply of self-help books and I loved them, I learned me so much about getting a cheerful attitude, self confidence and belief in myself. In fact, if I had not learned that, I almost certainly would never have taken the lead to go into IT freelancing and massively raising my income by using my experiences to their best effect. Those skills are redundant for the United Kingdom market these days, but they took me all across the UK as well as a fantastic happy year in Australia. My latest skills in search engine optimisation are very much current and, in my opinion, essential to someone who runs a website and needs it to be found if they expect to do business through it. Such as my affiliate marketing for instance.

So, as you can see, Joe Karbo wrecked my life. Thanks old boy, I am honestly grateful in every way for what you did for me and I would not have altered a thing and never intend giving up.
