There’s nothing more helpful than telling merchants and affiliates what works today and what are the things that will most likely work in the future as trends change. Mentors are a source of knowledge and the affiliate and merchants can learn how to generate more income from them. As an affiliate or merchant you need to be knowledgeable and equipped with the keys to success. You should be willing to be guided as you try to do the things that will help boost your profit.

A mentor’s job is to help affiliates and merchants find these traits within themselves. Mentors have already developed these characteristics and it makes it very easy for them to explain them to others. Success in affiliate marketing requires sweat, blood and of course a hefty time commitment. Another trait affiliates and merchants must learn is to never give up.

A mentor must be an expert in SEO, link exchanges, email marketing, newsletter marketing, reciprocal exchanges and advertising in forums, and other fields of marketing. Affiliates often find these things hard to learn alone and without supervision from the one who knows best. When selecting a mentor be sure they are knowledgeable on these things. Being a good mentor is way harder than succeeding in affiliate marketing but being one is very rewarding especially if the merchant or affiliate become successful. The failure of the merchant or affiliate is seen as a failure of the mentor.
